Privacy Policy
Last updated August 31, 2026
This policy explains what information HeartMatch collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the control you have over it.
1.Information we collect
Account information you give us when you register: your name, email address, date of birth, gender, the genders you are interested in, photographs, and the interests you select during onboarding.
Usage information generated as you use the service: profiles you view, likes you send, messages you exchange, and the times and devices you sign in from.
Payment information is processed by our payment provider. We store only the plan you are on, your billing status, and the last four digits and card type — never your full card number.
2.How we use your information
To create and maintain your profile, and to compute the compatibility scores that decide which members we show you.
To keep the community safe: verifying photos, detecting fraudulent or automated accounts, and reviewing reports submitted by other members.
To communicate with you about matches, messages, security notices and, where you have opted in, product news. You can turn off non-essential email from your account settings at any time.
3.How we share information
Your public profile — your photos, first name, age, city and interests — is visible to other signed-in members. Your email address, date of birth and payment details are never shown to other members.
We share data with service providers who host our infrastructure, process payments and send email, each bound to use it only to provide those services to us.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where legally required, or where necessary to investigate fraud or protect someone's safety.
4.Data retention and deletion
We keep your account data while your account is active. You can hide your profile at any time, which removes it from browse and matching without deleting it.
When you delete your account, your profile and photos are removed from the service immediately and purged from our systems within 30 days, except where we must retain records to meet a legal or accounting obligation.
5.Your rights and choices
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal information from your account settings, or by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — to object to certain processing, to restrict it, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6.Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to member data by our staff is limited to those who need it to do their job, and is logged.
No system is perfectly secure. Use a strong, unique password, and tell us straight away if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
7.Children
The service is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We remove accounts we find to belong to anyone underage.
8.Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will notify you by email and in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated policy.
